Restraint-Free Resident Monitoring
The Code Alert Wanderer Monitoring Solution provides reliable, restraint-free monitoring for residents at risk of wandering. While helping to keep residents safe, this system allows staff and visitors to move freely without barriers.
Using radio frequency technology, this well respected system uses lightweight transmitters worn by residents, receivers to detect a wanderer's presence and a control unit that issues an alarm. The system can be reset or bypassed at the monitored location using the control unit keypad. The Code Alert Wanderer Monitoring Solution can be customized specifically for your facility's needs.

Sophisticated Yet Easy To Use
Wandering Residents can wear the transmitters on their wrist, ankle, or attached to their clothing. The transmitter is secured with a durable nylon band with a non-detachable snap and is protected with a water-resistant case. In the even that a wandering resident enters a monitored area or attempts to exit the facility using a monitored door, an alarm will trigger locally and if opted, at a central location or over the public address system, resulting in instant awareness.
By using the Code Alert Wanderer Monitoring Solution, staff are alerted immediately when a patient or resident tries to go through a monitored door. Because staff can respond straight away, the chances of the monitored individual wandering too far are greatly reduced. The Code Alert Wanderer Monitoring Solution allows staff to carry out their normal duties and patient care is greatly enhanced.
There are a number of ways to control wandering. The system can simply alarm locally, at remote sounders, through pagers and even through the Nursecall system.
Alternatively, by fitting magnetic locks to the doors, they will automatically lock (if in the closed position) when approached by a Resident wearing a transmitter and release again when the resident moves away. Break-glass units are used to override the system in the event of a fire alarm.
